The course is a very intense, challenging fun experience. Classes generally begin at 10:00 am and finish around 5:00 pm from Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, you have to reserve the time between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. There is a lunch break of one hour from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. You will be provided with the exact schedule upon commencement of the course.
On average we have around 10 students enrolled in each program. They are typically between 22 and 50 years old.
Our practice students are adults, most of them are locals. They usually stay on from course to course and form good relationships with TEFL trainees and staff.
Yes, you can. The college has wireless Internet access.
We can give you a list of school web sites in the world and help you with resume and interview preparation. We give job placement assistance, but please note that Int’l TEFL Training Institute doesn’t ‘guarantee’ its graduates employment; as with any career, it is ultimately up to you to “sell yourself.”
The average salary overseas is about USD1500 per month; though, of course, this varies depending on what type of school or company you work for, whether you work full- or part-time.
No, they don’t. There are schools that do this. For example, they will provide a room for you, either shared or single, probably in an apartment with other teachers, and provide you with a monthly stipend. However, it varies from school to school.
Yes, you can. TEFL course graduates find employment in private EFL schools and religious schools and universities. State schools sometimes require additional state certification. It differs from country to country. You may also apply for work in other parts of the world. Asian countries or the Middle East will not only pay you an excellent salary, they may also open their doors to the public school system. South Korean schools pay so much that you may easily save up to $14,000/year if you have a modest life style. The Middle East tops the list because some of those countries don’t have income taxes.
